I started playing darts at the age of fifteen in my local league in Bermondsey (London). I played from the bottom division and worked my way up to the premier division beating county 'A' team players along the way. I then moved to Kent and played for the Erith superleague team, which consisted of mainly County 'A' players and I fitted straight in. The players talked me into playing County and I only lost one game through the whole season. I then packed up darts for a year through personal reasons and moved back to Bermondsey where I was champion for three years running. I entered the 'News Of The World' darts championship and qualified to the T.V stage where I met Peter 'One Dart' Manley who was no.1 in the world at that time. He beat me 2-1 but he should have lost 2-0 as I had darts to beat him every leg. My claim to fame is that I am the only ever darts player to start a first round match with a 180 and will be unless the tournament starts again?
I then went on to play for London and won the player of the year trophy playing in the 'A' team along side : Shane Burgess, Peter Evison, Chris Mason, Steve Beaton, Robbie Beaton, Steve Maish, Jason Clark and many more.
I won the London Singles trophy. I was in the final again the year after, the only other London dart player to get there twice on the trot was Eric Bristow. I also qualified for the World Masters and got to the last 32.
I then packed up darts because of funding, I didn't pick a dart up until four years later. In the mean time I met a very nice girl and we have two beautiful children. We moved to Ashford in Kent and I decided to have another try with my darts, to my amazement I played better than when I packed up. I won the Kent Open, the Dover Open, runner up in the Corner Pin Open, and semi finalist in the Canterbury Open, not bad for a non dart player, I did this all with just one months practice. I then decided to go on the PDC circuit, I started at 1,500th in the world and after just eight months I was at 144th now I am looking for funding as I could be the next champion.
